Teach Yourself Violin

Thanks for stopping by my blog, and thanks for checking put my “about me” page.  My name is Evan Sinclaire.  I grew up in Delaware, but moved to northern Maine when I was 16 years old (6 years ago).  I was never much of one interested in making music, but around 8 months ago I started playing violin after seeing a local musician play one with their band.  It was pretty frustrating at first, but I got in with a solid method to learn violin, and practiced, practiced, and practiced some more.

For the last few months, I have been playing with the local orchestra.  It has been a lot of fun, and I have not only met a lot of cool people, but have also learned a lot about the music business.  In addition to the orchestra, about two months ago three friends and I started a small country band named The Hickocks.  I’m going to try and get a few videos of us up on YouTube soon, and then I’ll post them on here.

I decided to create this blog to share with everyone some of the tips and tricks that I have learned along the way.  I never really considered myself a selfish person, but the people I have meet through the orchestra have been some of the kindest and most giving people that I have ever met.  I feel like it is only right for me to share my knowledge like they have shared theirs with me.  If you have any questions, you can e-mail me at any time at EvanS@TeachYourselfViolinQuickly.com.
